These four books are about a courageous ten year old girl, called Alanna of Trebond. As Alanna wishes to become a knight, rather than a lady, and her twin brother, Thom wants to be a socceror, they come up with a brillanint plan to switch places. So, disguised as a boy, Alanna journeys to the palace to begin her training. She meets some interesting friends- and enimies, struggles with tedious training, and meets the prince's cousin, who she is sure is not what he pretends to be. It's a really wonderful novel that will leave you dying to read the next one.
